Celebrate PA Week by Submitting a Proclamation!

September 10, 2025

By Dana Carter, Vice President of State Advocacy & Outreach

PA Week (October 6-12) is a great opportunity to highlight the vital role PAs play in communities across the country, and we encourage you to consider requesting a PA Week proclamation from governors, mayors, and other officials! To help guide you through the proclamation process, AAPA has gathered a ready-made toolkit with information on drafting, submitting, and securing official recognition of PA Week and amplifying the proclamation’s impact.

AAPA’s PA Week Proclamation Toolkit includes:

  • Sample proclamation language tailored for local and state governments
  • Step-by-step guidance on how to request a proclamation
  • Templates and tips for outreach and amplification

Securing a proclamation is a great way to gain formal acknowledgement of the important role and contributions of PAs in all medical specialties and settings. By utilizing AAPA’s PA Week Proclamation Toolkit, PAs and state chapters can turn a simple document into a powerful platform for advocacy, recognition, and pride in the profession.

Ready to get started? View the toolkit here and submit your proclamation today! If you have any questions about submitting a PA Week proclamation, reach out to [email protected].

For other PA Week resources, be sure to check out AAPA’s 2025 resources page for social media toolkits, shareable graphics, and more to share with your networks!
