
CT Colonography for Colon Cancer Screening

This webinar, designed specifically for PAs, will focus on CT colonoscopy (CTC) for colorectal cancer screening. The program will spotlight the clinical need for more options in colon cancer screening, and clinical proof of the advantages of CTC.
Cecelia Brewington, MD, FACR, will share key clinical data and protocols on how a CTC screening can improve screening rates. Attendees will leave with an understanding of how CTC is a patient friendly and safe alternative to colonoscopy for colon cancer screening.

Speaker: Cecelia C. Brewington, MD, FACR

Cecelia Brewington, MD, FACR, is the System and Academic Chair of Radiology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, as well as a professor at Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine. A nationally recognized leader in diagnostic radiology, she brings more than 25 years of experience in academic medicine, clinical program development, and professional practice management.
Brewington previously served as vice chair, division chief, and director of multiple clinical and diversity programs at UT Southwestern, where she led the establishment of high-impact lung and colorectal cancer screening programs. Her work has directly improved patient care, particularly for underrepresented communities, and she is widely recognized for her efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare.
Brewington has produced and participated in several nationwide public service announcements, podcasts, and live broadcasts to educate both the public and healthcare providers on the importance of colon cancer screening. Her research focuses on lung cancer detection and CT imaging, and she currently serves as principal investigator on clinical trials exploring CT perfusion as a biomarker for cancer.
