In the article that appeared on page 15 of the October 2021 issue, the following key point was excluded: Polycystic ovarian morphology is not part of the diagnostic criteria for adolescents with PCOS, thus use of pelvic ultrasound to evaluate PCOS in adolescents is discouraged. Do patients on statins also need niacin?
